Generations Healthcare Business Strategy Focuses on Quality, Service

October 1, 2009 – NEWPORT BEACH – Newport Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a 59-bed skilled nursing facility, is undergoing the final phase of a $2 million renovation. The second phase will be completed in September. Phase two renovations include a new exterior façade, new lobby and dining room, flooring, landscaping, paint, artwork and furniture.

Newport Nursing is part of Generations Healthcare, a Newport Beach-based skilled nursing facility operator. Generations owns and operates 18 skilled nursing and special care facilities throughout California. Founded in 1998 with a single 89-bed facility, Generations has grown to 18 facilities comprising more than 1,900 beds.

“We have a simple business strategy,” noted Thomas Olds, Jr., CEO. “Our focus is on quality and service. We are selective about the facilities we acquire, we manage our growth slowly, and we reinvest capital back into our facilities.

“The right environment makes a significant impact on the recovery and progress of patients,” he said.

Generations has invested over $28.3 million in improvements to its facilities, grounds, furniture, equipment and information systems since its founding.

Newport Nursing, 1555 Superior Avenue in Newport Beach, will be hosting an open house for the community on Thursday, October 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. For information call (949) 646-7764.
